Chapter 6 Prediction, Risk, and Uncertainty (pp. 79-96)

"In Zurich, Switzerland, Markus and Daniel Freitag started thinking about a new business from their apartment overlooking the main Zurich truck route at Hardbriicke. Dissatisfied with the durability of available bicycle messenger bags, the pair wanted to create a heavy-duty, water-repellent product. So, in 1993 they started prototyping bags and formed Freitag AG. But instead of sourcing the latest high-tech materials, they formed bags from used truck tarpaulins, using second-hand car seatbelts as straps and used bicycle inner tubes for edging. "
