Chapter 14 The Crazy Quilt Principle: Form Partnerships (pp. 219 to 238)

"From the Taurus Mountains to Northern New York State
Hamdi Ulukaya doesn't know his exact birthdate. He was born during a mountain trek as one of seven children in a semi-nomadic ethnic Kurdish family in the Taurus Mountains of eastern Türkiye. His life today, as extremely successful founder of a billion US dollar dairy company based in the United States of America, is a stark contrast to his youth.
But it was Ulukaya's formative years that provided him with the available means to navigate his way in a foreign country and build a successful venture on the effectual foundations of forming partnerships of all types.

Broken English, Broken Factory
Belonging to an ethnic minority, Ulukaya feared persecution for being politically outspoken, so migrated to the United States. He arrived in New York with broken English and just enough money to get started. Later he opened a small cheese shop in the Kurdish tradition."
